Bogdan Grom. Condition is Used. Made by Bogdan Grom in 1996 for LBSBANK-NEW YORK a subsidiary of Nova Ljubljanska Banka d.d. headquarters in Slovenia. Bogdan designed and fabricated the horse heads as replicas of the horses at The National & University Library in Ljubljana, Slovenia by renowned architect Joze Plecnik. The horse head door handles were made for the main entrance of The Bank and was part of the art exhibition Mr. Grom had in that building in 1996. They each weigh 5lbs and are solid bronze. This sale is for BOTH handles. The handles will require new machine bolts since these are worn. The threads are good but one of the bolts snapped and part of it is still inside. To my knowledge, this pair of horse heads are the only ones in existence made by Grom.
